How to Attach a Phone Charm to Any Phone Case

Simple Step-by-Step Guide for All Phone Models

You've just received your beautiful new phone charm, and you're excited to wear it. But how exactly do you attach it? Don't worry—it's easier than you think! This guide will walk you through the process for any phone and case combination.

What You'll Need

  • Your phone charm
  • Your phone
  • A phone case with a charging port opening (most cases have this)
  • Optional: charm adapter for cases without openings

Method 1: Through the Charging Port (Most Common)

Step 1: Locate Your Attachment Loop
Most phone charms come with a small attachment loop, cord, or hardware piece designed to thread through your phone case. MyAleph charms feature a durable lobster clasp that connects to your phone securely.

Step 2: Thread Through the Charging Port
Take the attachment loop and thread it through the charging port opening at the bottom of your phone case. For most cases, this opening is already present for cable access.

Step 3: Secure the Connection
Once threaded, attach your charm to the loop using the clasp. Give it a gentle tug to ensure it's secure. Your charm should hang freely and not interfere with charging.

Method 2: Using the Camera Cutout

Some people prefer attaching their charm through the camera cutout on the back of the case. This works well for:

  • Cases with very small charging ports
  • When you want the charm to hang from the back instead of bottom
  • Aesthetic preference

Troubleshooting Common Issues

My case doesn't have any openings

No problem! You have a few options:

  • Use a phone charm adapter (small adhesive attachment point)
  • Switch to a case with openings (we recommend clear cases to show off your phone color)
  • Attach to your bag instead and clip your phone to that

The charm interferes with charging

This usually happens if the attachment is too thick. Try repositioning the loop to the side of the charging port rather than directly in the center. Most wireless charging pads and cables work fine with phone charms attached.

Pro Tips for Wearing Your Phone Charm

  • Check the attachment weekly to ensure it's still secure
  • Remove before vigorous activities (rock climbing, intense workouts)
  • If your charm has gemstone beads, avoid submerging in water
  • Rotate between multiple charms to match your outfits

That's it! You're now ready to wear your phone charm with confidence. If you have any questions about your MyAleph charm specifically, our customer service team is always happy to help.
